Anastasius the count, son of Sergius
Count and correspondent of Severus of Antioch
Anastasius, identified by Brooks as a count and son of Sergius, was a lay aristocratic correspondent of Severus of Antioch. In Select Letters III.1, Severus sends him the communion or oblation he requested and emphasizes that shared faith, not the personal rank of the minister, gives the gift its value.
