Gregory of Nyssa (c. 335-c. 395) was a Cappadocian bishop, theologian, and philosophical writer. Brother of Basil of Caesarea and friend of Gregory of Nazianzus, he wrote on Trinitarian theology, ascetic life, biblical interpretation, and church affairs in the late fourth-century Roman East.
