Longinus Priscus

Roman military patron or official|Unknown posting in Roman Egypt
Longinus Priscus was a Roman military or administrative patron addressed by Claudius Tiberianus in P.Mich. VIII 472. Tiberianus calls him his lord and patron, asks where he is stationed, and hopes to reach him after missing the boats from Alexandria. The letter also links Longinus with Sempronius Clemens, a frumentarius who was to carry correspondence.
