Letter 12034

Gregory the Great (Wisigothic)Unknown|gregory great
From: Pope Gregory I
To: Ciridanus
Date: ~602 AD
Context: Gregory writes to Ciridanus on a matter requiring his attention

Ciridanus, I write to you concerning the matter I have discussed with you before. The situation has not improved, and I need your action rather than your acknowledgment. Whatever obstacles have prevented you from acting until now, address them; whatever difficulties attend the action required, face them. This is not a matter I am willing to leave unresolved indefinitely. You have the authority to act; I am asking you to use it.
