Letter 210

LibaniusDatianus, consular|libanius

To Datianus, consular. (360?)

This man needs your help, and he deserves it. I could write at length about his merits, but I know your time is precious, and besides, his character speaks for itself to anyone willing to listen. Help him, and you oblige both him and me -- and you know how I repay such debts: with gratitude, with loyalty, and with more requests.

Modern English rendering for readability. See the 19th-century translation or original Latin/Greek for scholarly use.
