Letter 11027: Who would not consider Johannes deserving of promotion?
Who would not consider Johannes deserving of promotion? By my judgment he long ago took up the office of the chancery and already earned the trust of confidential responsibility when he received the duty of the judicial secretariat. Let him therefore enjoy the happiness of both his rank and his honor — a man known to have pleased through praiseworthy character. My decree confirms him as praerogativarius [paymaster], so that, having attained the rank of a veteran, he may serve the public commands with even more devoted spirit.
