Well done, my child Aphrodisios, well done, my beloved child! Peace be to you in the Lord, in whom is your hope, through whom is your exile and confinement. How are you, then, are you well? Do you wait patiently upon the Lord, enduring all? May he indeed attend to you and hearken to your supplication, guarding and sheltering you as the apple of his eye. As for why the visitation is slow in coming, the brother will report. Stand firm still, be patient still, pray still: the Lord will draw near, he will hasten to visit his people. Only let us serve him with fear and trembling. Show yourself to those who see and hear you as an angel in the body, a God-revealing luminary, that through you God may be glorified. Pray also for me the sinner, that I may be saved. The brother who is with me sends his greeting. The Lord be with you.
