Eugenetes
correspondent of Ennodius of Pavia|Northern Italy (Ennodius's circle, Pavia/Milan region)
Eugenetes is otherwise little attested and is known chiefly as a correspondent of Magnus Felix Ennodius (c. 473/4-521 AD), the Latin rhetorician, deacon, and later bishop of Pavia (Ticinum) in Ostrogothic Italy. He is the recipient of several letters in Ennodius's collection, which suggests he belonged to the cultivated lay or clerical milieu of northern Italy in the early sixth century with which Ennodius maintained a wide literary correspondence. Beyond his appearance in these letters, no specific offices, dates, or biographical details can be securely established.
