Aeneas of Gaza (late fifth to early sixth century) was a Christian sophist, philosopher, and rhetorician of the Gaza school. His surviving twenty-five letters show the learned social world of late Roman Gaza: books, portraits, teachers, priests, legal patrons, students, medicine, friendship, and polished literary play.
